Mont Laurier and the Lac Matagami Recreational Area

Climbing Mont Laurier is a must for hiking enthusiasts! Although relatively short, the climb will take you from the boreal forest to the tundra.

The summit offers a 360-degree view of the area. The forest stretches as far as the eye can see and it will impress you for sure!

Other trails will allow you to continue your hike in this area and reach a small refuge. Photo enthusiasts: this small refuge nestled among the spruce trees is very photogenic!
